Ever wonder why we say something or someone ‘blew a gasket’? Engines create pressure inside, and have to let that pressure out. That pressure is controlled by a ‘Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve’ (PCV Valve for short). If your PCV valve gets clogged or doesn’t work correctly. Engine oil and other engine gunk can end up places it shouldn’t… AND… that pressure can; you guessed it; ‘blow a gasket’!
